As rookie pitcher Paul Skenes made his MLB debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday, LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne was in attendance to cheer her boyfriend on in his first game in the majors.
It was a great debut for Skenes, who struck out his first batter and helped the Pirates get a win over the Chicago Cubs.
During an interview, Dunne expressed her pride in Skenes’ making it up to the big leagues and highlighted why this was such a special moment in his career.
Dunne knows as well as anyone about what it takes to pursue your sport at the highest level, and it’s always awesome when two athletes in a relationship can support each other in such a meaningful way (and in such a meaningful moment).

How moving is that? We hope to see these two cheer each other on in their various sports for the years to come.
