Former North Carolina Tar Heels’ quarterback Drake Maye is pursuing his goal in the NFL after being selected No. 3 overall by the New England Patriots in April’s draft.
The Patriots envision Maye being their quarterback of the future, hopefully finding the replacement for Tom Brady. With Maye officially a Patriot, the quarterback participated in his first practice with the franchise this weekend at rookie minicamp.
New England opened up minicamp on Friday, practicing for two days as they wrapped it all up on Saturday afternoon. It’s just rookie minicamp, so there’s no need to overreact one way or another but it was an early chance for the franchise to see what they had in Maye.
