The 2024 NFL draft has come to a close, and the Cleveland Browns’ roster is currently full. However, if they wanted to go after a player like running back Dalvin Cook or wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, they would be able to easily clear roster spots to make that happen.
While Cook is absolutely on the backend of his career and looks like the majority of his juice is gone, could the Browns (who didn’t draft a young running back two weeks ago) look to get the last bits of positive play out of him? He is a scheme fit and has familiarity with head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Renfrow became a cut of a new regime. While his role is extremely limited, Renfrow has familiarity with quarterback Deshaun Watson from their time at Clemson together and could become his best friend underneath and in the scramble drill once again in Cleveland.
The whole point here is that there are plenty of talented free agents still left on the market who could find some sort of comfortability and success in Cleveland. Here is a list of players who are still unemployed that the Browns could potentially bring to training camp to give them a chance to compete for a roster spot.
