In the third round of the 1997 NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected an undersized cornerback out of the University of Virginia who would eventually become one of the most legendary figures to ever wear their uniform, and would deliver the most iconic play in franchise history.
Rondé Barber spent all 16 of his NFL seasons with the Bucs, eventually earning his rightful place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as one of the most revolutionary players the league has ever seen.
27 years ago, he was a little known prospect who was probably most famous for playing alongside his twin brother, former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber.
Now, he’s etched in football history forever:
2️⃣7️⃣ years ago we drafted @rondebarber. The rest is history.
