Former Kentucky basketball player Aaron Bradshaw commits to Ohio State

Former Kentucky basketball player Aaron Bradshaw transfers to Ohio State.

Multiple members of the 2023-24 Kentucky Wildcats basketball team have opted to enter the transfer portal. Some of those players are still in contact with new coach Mark Pope, leaving a return to Kentucky open. Aaron Bradshaw, however, has moved on.

Bradshaw has decided to continue his college career with the Ohio State Buckeyes. This decision came after visiting them over the weekend. What he saw there must have swayed him, because he quickly chose them.

As a Freshman at Kentucky, Bradshaw was unable to get consistent playing time at various points, and dealt with an injury early in the year. He wound up averaging five points and three rebounds for year season.

The seven-foot Bradshaw was a top five recruit for Kentucky, and was expected to solidify the frontcourt on a young Wildcats team. Unfortunately, the injury caused him to miss the first part of the season, and he seemed to struggle to get into a consistent groove.

As the season ended, most fans thought he might choose to transfer, even before the coaching change. A new start may be the best thing for him, and Big Blue Nation wishes him well.
