According to multiple reports, Tennessee Volunteers forward Tobe Awaka has officially entered his name into the transfer portal, becoming the third player from the SEC regular season champions to do so since the finish of their 2023-24 season.
Awaka joins both Freddie Dilione V and DJ Jefferson, who both previously entered the transfer portal earlier this month.
As for Awaka, the forward has spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career at Tennessee, where he has appeared in 69 career games off of the Volunteers bench. Over that span, Awaka has averaged a combined 4.2 PPG and 4.2 RPG, while also shooting 59.1% from the field.
This past season, Awaka appeared in 35 games off the Tennessee bench in which he averaged 5.1 PPG and 4.6 RPG for the Volunteers. Awaka also shot 59.1% from the field, as well as 74.2% at the free throw line.

The forward was a former three-star prospect from Tennessee’s 2022 class out of Cardinal Hayes in New York.
