The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added some depth and experience to their pass rush Wednesday, signing veteran free agent outside linebacker Randy Gregory to a one-year deal.
Here are the details of Gregory’s contract, according to Pro Football Talk:
Per a source with knowledge of the term, it has a base value of $3 million with up to $2 million available in incentives.
Of the base amount, $2.49 million is fully guaranteed. The deal has $510,000 in per-game active roster bonuses.
The triggers for the incentives are 40-percent and 50-percent playing time, and six, eight, and 10 sacks.
After letting Shaq Barrett go earlier this offseason, the Bucs had a need for a low-cost veteran to rotate with Yaya Diaby, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, Anthony Nelson and the rest of their fairly young outside linebacker group.
Gregory fits the bill, and should prove to be a solid signing.
