The Philadelphia 76ers return home on Tuesday from a two-game road trip to play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder as they search for wins before the regular season ends on April 14. The Sixers are eighth in the Eastern Conference with seven games left to play.
Joel Embiid, who hasn’t played since Jan. 30 due to a left knee meniscus injury, is listed as out against the Thunder. However, that status can change before the tip. The big fella’s return is imminent.
De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine bone stress) and Robert Covington (left knee bone bruise) also remain out. Melton hasn’t played since Feb. 27, and Covington hasn’t played since Dec. 30.
Tyrese Maxey is listed as questionable with left hip tightness. The All-Star guard missed Sunday’s win over the Toronto Raptors on the road.
Injury report for tomorrow against the Thunder:
OUT: Joel Embiid (left knee meniscus procedure), De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine bone stress), Robert Covington (left knee bone bruise)
QUESTIONABLE: Tyrese Maxey (left hip tightness)
