The Boston Celtics have secured the first seed in the Eastern Conference. They will likely end the season with the best record in the NBA. They’re also widely considered to be championship favorites out of the East. The current core has been knocking on the door of a banner for the past few seasons, falling short at the final hurdle when facing the Golden State Warriors in 2022.
Yet, even if the Celtics do win a championship this season, will that one banner be enough? Or is this team too talented to stop at one ring? In a recent episode of “Gresh and Fauria” the duo discuss the notion of one ring not being enough for the team’s current core.
Of course, Celtics fans will likely want to see their team get over the hump before they begin moving the goalposts. After all, the first one is always the most difficult.
