While down at the NFL annual league meetings this week, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid heaped praise on his former cornerback and one of the newest Tennessee Titans, L’Jarius Sneed.
Reid not only had great things to say about Sneed’s toughness and overall talent, he also praised the 27-year-old for who he is as a human being.
“One of my all-time favorite guys,” Reid, per Paul Kuharsky. “Great human being — as great a player as he is, he’s an even better human being. As tough as you can imagine. I’m his biggest fan, absolutely.”
“He was our lockdown guy,” Reid added when asked if the Titans can deploy Sneed against anyone. “He had the best receiver.”
When asked why the Chiefs didn’t hold on to someone he holds in such high regard, Reid said it simply came down to the salary cap and had nothing to do with Sneed himself.

“You juggle the salary cap and it’s ridiculous,” Reid said. “What you have to go through and the players you can keep and you can’t keep. But we all loved him there, that wasn’t the problem.”
