Sixers take Tennessee wing player Dalton Knecht in 2024 NBA mock draft

The Philadelphia 76ers select Tennessee wing player Dalton Knecht in a 2024 NBA mock draft.

The Philadelphia 76ers have bigger things than the draft to worry about at the moment. They await the return of Joel Embiid and pin their hopes of making a playoff run on the knowledge that with a healthy Embiid, anything is possible.

However, it doesn’t hurt to look ahead to the offseason and consider additions the Sixers could make to the roster. One way to do that is through the draft. Philadelphia holds a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA draft.

A mock draft done by Bleacher Report has the Sixers selecting Tennessee wing player Dalton Knecht:

Tennessee is still alive in the Sweet 16 after a rare off-game from Dalton Knecht against Texas. Regardless of what happens from here, he’s earned scouts’ trust with consistent production, shooting and toughness, plus huge scoring outputs against quality opponents like Kentucky (40 points), Auburn (39 points), North Carolina (37 points), South Carolina (31 points) and Florida (39 points).

Knecht is averaging 21.1 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 39.1% from deep in his first season with the Volunteers following two years with Northern Colorado.
