North Carolina went through Wagner and Michigan State in the first two rounds of the 2024 NCAA Tournament to punch their ticket to the Sweet 16. And awaiting the No. 1 seed is a pesky No. 4 seed Alabama.
The Crimson Tide beat Charleston and then survived an upset scare from Grand Canyon to reach another Sweet 16. Now, the two teams will face off in Los Angeles with a trip to the Elite 8 to face either Arizona or Clemson.
As we get set for Thursday’s game, the opening odds are out and the Tar Heels are once again favorites in this game. UNC is a 4.5-point favorite which is actually higher than the 3.5-point spread against Michigan State in the second round.
But the interesting line is the total points. The line for that has been set pretty high as both teams can really score the basketball and the game is anticipated to be a high-scoring one.
