NASCAR is fresh off an exciting weekend of racing at Circuit of the Americas, where the sport saw William Byron hold off Christopher Bell for his second victory of the season. Now, the racing series is set for Richmond Raceway. All NASCAR levels, except the Truck Series, will participate on track, so let’s take a closer look at the entry lists released for Richmond.
In the Cup Series, there are no major additions on the entry list after a 39-car field at COTA. Kaz Grala (No. 15 for Rick Ware Racing) and Ty Dillon (No. 16 for Kaulig Racing) are the two drivers for the teams with no full-time driver and a charter. This is the third race of the season with fewer than 36 entries. The Cup Series will have competed in seven races after Sunday.

The Xfinity Series sees an influx of new drivers, with Taylor Gray and Aric Almirola running for Joe Gibbs Racing. Most notably, Matt DiBenedetto (Viking Motorsports through RSS Racing) and Bubba Pollard (JR Motorsports) make their season debuts in the Xfinity Series. Overall, one driver will not make the show with 39 entries at Richmond.
The race weekend in Richmond will begin on Saturday, March 30. NASCAR is officially back to another short track, and everyone is curious about how it will look after Phoenix Raceway in early March.
