Auburn basketball dreams of winning its first-ever national championship this season but must go through Yale on Friday to reach that goal.
Can they escape the round of 64 with a victory over the Bulldogs? ESPN predicts the Tigers to pass its first test with flying colors. According to ESPN’s matchup predictor, Auburn has a 90.1% chance of beating Yale on Friday.
The game ranks No. 8 in Friday’s ESPN BPI predictions with a matchup score of 77.9. ESPN also expects Auburn to win by 14 points. Texas A&M‘s matchup with Nebraska is the day’s top matchup while Florida–Colorado and Charleston-Alabama are also listed among the best games of the day by ESPN.
Yale’s defense allows two fewer points than Auburn, but the Tigers hold an advantage in every other major category. Auburn scores 83.3 points per game while Yale manages to score 75.2 points per game. Auburn also is the better team in rebounds and assists.
