When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed quarterback Baker Mayfield to a cheap one-year deal in free agency last year, they were hoping to get plenty of bang for their buck.
They did just that, as Mayfield enjoyed the best season of his career, leading the Bucs to a third straight NFC South title, and bringing them within eight points of a trip to the NFC title game.
Mayfield was rewarded this offseason with a new three-year contract extension, locking him in as the Bucs’ starting quarterback for the foreseeable future.
