The Oklahoma City Thunder avoided the upset with a close 118-112 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. It completed a three-game season series sweep for OKC.
The Thunder built a 14-point lead late in the second half after fighting it out with the Grizzlies for most of the contest. A 34-point fourth quarter helped OKC collect the road win.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a quiet 20 points and seven rebounds. Jalen Williams scored 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to close it out. Chet Holmgren recorded a 22-point and 11-rebound double-double.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies were led by Desmond Bane, who scored 22 points in his two-plus month return from an ankle sprain. Jaren Jackson Jr. had 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
