The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added some much-needed depth at cornerback in free agency this week, signing former New York Jets corner Bryce Hall to a one-year contract.
Hall hasn’t had much of a chance to shine in New York, but when he did, he broke up 16 passes in 2021 while starting all 17 games for the Jets.
He now joins a Tampa Bay secondary that just traded away one of its starters in Carlton Davis III, and needs competition for third-year man Zyon McCollum for the starting spot on the outside opposite Jamel Dean.
So, what are the Bucs getting in Hall?
Here’s a fantastic breakdown from NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger from that 2021 season:
Newest Buc CB Bryce Hall has the intangibles to be a solid, versatile depth piece. 6’1 202lbs who was buried in depth chart. Started all 17 games in 2021 with 16 pass def, 0.5 Sack and 79 tackles
