UPDATE: The Texans have reportedly traded for Cincinnati Bengals running back, Joe Mixon, which erases any chance of Derrick Henry playing for the Titans’ division rival. You love to see it.
The Tennessee Titans have already seen two of their key defenders go to their division rival in free agency, but now there’s a chance that one of the franchise’s greats could join them.
One day after the Houston Texans reportedly agreed to terms with both linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair and defensive lineman Denico Autry, the team now has running back Derrick Henry on its radar, per Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com, although he notes that nothing is imminent.
Wilson adds that the Texans and Baltimore Ravens are just two teams eyeing Henry, but he didn’t name the others. On Monday night, CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson reported Henry and the Ravens have mutual interest.
Talk about pick your poison.
As much as it would suck to see Henry with the Ravens, it would be far worse to see him join the Texans, as the Titans would be forced to face him twice per season for as long as he’s there.
I sincerely hope that doesn’t happen.
