The 2024 Mountain West men’s basketball tournament will take place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas from March 13-16.
The Mountain West men’s basketball tournament will feature 11 programs with four teams (Utah State, UNLV, Nevada and Boise State) getting a first-round bye. Utah State and San Diego State were the lone Mountain West teams that finished ranked, sitting 22nd and 21st in the Coaches Poll with Nevada sitting just outside the top 25.
Utah State earned the No. 1 seed with a 14-4 conference record while SDSU ended 5th in the MWC. This should be a thrilling few days with seven teams finishing with an above-.500 conference record. The two programs (Utah State and SDSU) have dominated the tournament as of late, winning five of the last six with Boise State (2022) claiming that lone championship not won by either Utah State or San Diego State.

The tournament will commence on March 13 at 11 a.m. ET at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
This conference has had numerous teams make deep NCAA Tournament runs in the past as recently as San Diego State’s 2023 run to the NCAA Championship. While the tournament has been recently dominated by two programs, expect several to contend this year. With an automatic bid on the line, expect must-watch basketball in Las Vegas.
