The Western Athletic Conference men’s basketball tournament starts on Wednesday as March Madness begins reaching a feverish pitch. If you are looking to get in on some of the hottest live action the sport has to offer, you have come to the right place.
The Grand Canyon Antelopes wrapped up the 2023-24 regular-season campaign with the conference title thanks to a 17-3 record against WAC opponents. The Tarleton Texans finished just a game behind at 16-4, with the two included among the seven out of 11 league schools to finish with a .500 record or better.
The bottom of the conference is inhabited by the UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros who finished with a 2-18 mark. The Southern Utah Thunderbirds (5-15) and Utah Tech Trailblazers (7-13) were also near the bottom; the three schools represent those who did not qualify for the postseason event.
The WAC men’s basketball conference tournament tips off on Wednesday, March 13, at 3 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT inside Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada, with the No. 5 Utah Valley Wolverines facing off with the No. 8 California Baptist Lancers.

Wednesday’s second game has the No. 6 Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks going against the No. 7 Abilene Christian Wildcats starting at 5:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT. The quarterfinals on Thursday will also feature a pair of games with the Game 1 winner facing the No. 4 Seattle Redhawks followed by the Game 2 Winner taking on No. 3 UT Arlington Mavericks.
Friday features the semifinal round as the top two seeds play the remaining teams and the grand finale comes on Saturday, March 16, in the conference tournament finals starting at 5:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT.
