Boston Celtics beat Phoenix Suns 117-107 on the road to snap two-game skid

There were a few pushes by the Suns in the game’s second half, but Boston held them off and got themselves back in the win column as a result.

The Boston Celtics had not lost three games in a row over the course of the entire 2023-24 NBA season before they played the Phoenix Suns on the road this past Saturday night. And by the time the final buzzer sounded on a ball club that had dropped its last two contests, that possibility was off the menu.

The Celtics came away with a 117-107 victory on the strengths of their two All-Star wings Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. But they had plenty of help up and down the roster on a night that saw them without the services of star Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis. There were a few pushes by the Suns in the game’s second half, but Boston held them off and got themselves back in the win column as a result.

NBC Sports Boston’s Brian Scalabrine, Chris Forsberg and Amina Smith got into what went right for Boston on “Celtics Postgame Live,” and Abby Chin had a one-on-one interview with reserve big man Luke Kornet as well.
