There’s a party on Franklin Street, as the Atlantic Coast Conference goes through UNC after the Tar Heels swept Duke in Cameron Indoor Arena on Saturday night.
UNC had a sweet 84-79 victory, turning Duke fans sour behind a huge performance from Cormac Ryan. The senior finished with a career-high, snagging a Tar Heel moment.
The rivalry game lived up to its hype, giving fans an entertaining game, that brought out the best and worst in the rivalry. Trash talk was had and dirty plays were made, but the Tar Heels got the last laugh.
UNC led the entire game and dominated the rebound battle 39 to 28. Their ability to push the pace was on full display, finishing with 19 fast break points compared to Duke’s two.
