The Milwaukee Bucks (41-21) take on the Golden State Warriors (32-28) Wednesday with tip-off from Chase Center set for 10 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Bucks vs. Warriors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Bucks lead 1-0

The Bucks are coming off a surprising 113-106 victory over the LA Clippers Monday night. They were 2.5-point dogs and operated without F Giannis Antetokounmpo (Achilles). G Damian Lillard put the team on his back with 41 points, and F Bobby Portis Jr. hulked up with 28 points and 16 boards off the bench. Milwaukee has won 6 straight.

Conversely, the Warriors are coming off one of the worst losses in franchise history as the Boston Celtics gave them the bionic leg drop in a 140-88 finish Sunday. G Stephen Curry finished with a season-low 4 points and didn’t play at all in the 2nd half. They had won 11 of 13 before that floating Baby Ruth in the pool.

Bucks at Warriors and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 120, Warriors 118

Moneyline

I have no reason to believe Giannis is out tonight. He was a late scratch the other night, but it felt more like a load management night off. These odds make it seem like he is unlikely, and I’m going to pounce on the value before he’s confirmed in.

The Dubs are not the lethal home team they used to be as they’re just 16-15 at Chase. Yes, they’ll be angry after an embarrassing loss, but Milwaukee can match them beyond the arc. The Bucks are 5th in 3-pointers per game and 8th in 3-point percentage. They also have the advantage in the paint.

Take the BUCKS +140.

Against the spread

I’m avoiding the spread because we’re taking the risk/value on the ML.

You know something that doesn’t add a lot of risk and decent value? Giannis to hit a 3. He has hit 1 in 5 straight, and he has shot 7-for-9 (77.7%) from beyond the arc in that stretch. He also hit 1 against Golden State in Milwaukee’s 129-118 home win Jan. 13.

Take GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO OVER 0.5 3-POINTERS (-105).

Over/Under

This is the lowest total in the last 5 meetings between the teams. This obviously hinges on Giannis’ status, but Milwaukee put up 113 on a good defensive Clippers team Monday. The Bucks, however, are 0-9-1 O/U over the last 10. The Dubs are 2-8.

These teams bring out the best in one another, and the Over has cashed in 3 straight meetings.

Take the OVER 227.5 (-105).
