Kyle Larson talks about his dominant victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2024. Find out what Larson had to say about sweeping the day!

[autotag]Kyle Larson[/autotag] ended NASCAR Cup Series practice at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the best averages across the board. Larson quickly proved that during the race after taking the lead right away. The Hendrick Motorsports didn’t stop there as he swept the day for his first victory of the 2024 NASCAR season. It was simply a dominant showing.

Following the race, Larson got out of his car with this children next to him for his interview on the frontstretch. The driver of the No. 5 car talked about his dominant day and holding off Tyler Reddick in the closing laps of the event.

“I knew [Tyler Reddick] was going to be the guy to beat from the first stage,” Larson said. “He was really fast there. I was hoping those guys were going to get racing a little bit longer behind me because I felt like it was going to time out where he was running really hard and getting the tow to catch me at the end.”

“Thankfully was able to air block him a couple laps and get him tight. I thought him and [Bubba Wallace] were going to get working together again to build a run, so I was happy that didn’t happen. But all in all, such a great job by this Hendrick Cars Chevy team and just their execution, pit road, restarts, all that was great. Cool to get a win here at Vegas again. Back-to-back, swept all the stages again. Can’t ask for much more.”

The first intermediate race of the 2024 NASCAR season couldn’t have gone any better for Larson. The Hendrick Motorsports driver earned seven playoff points and 60 regular-season points. Larson entered the new campaign with a chip on his shoulder after losing the championship at Phoenix Raceway in 2023. Now, he looks ahead toward the place of his defeat this weekend.
