The Philadelphia 76ers will hit the road on Sunday to take on the Dallas Mavericks in a matinee to begin a quick two-game road trip. Once again, the Sixers will be missing some key pieces so they will need others to step up in their place.
Joel Embiid (left knee meniscus procedure), De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine bone stress) and Robert Covington (left knee bone bruise) all remain out against the Mavericks. One has to assume Embiid will return at some point in March while Melton will be out for at least the next road game against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday.
While those three remain sidelined, Kelly Oubre Jr. (right shoulder soreness) is listed as questionable along with KJ Martin (right ankle impingement). They both missed Friday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets.

The Sixers are 8-17 on the season when Embiid doesn’t play, and they look to pick up a big win over an explosive Mavericks team led by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Tip off from the American Airlines Center is set for 1 p.m. EST.
