Former Colorado Buffaloes football wide receiver Xavier Weaver did not participate in on-field drills at the NFL scouting combine on Saturday for unknown reasons. Weaver was Colorado’s only invitee to this year’s combine.
The Buffs’ leading receiver in 2023, Weaver did go through body measurements and took interviews during his time in Indianapolis. Weaver’s height was officially measured at 6 feet, but he was lighter than the 180 pounds he was listed at before the season, weighing in at 169 pounds.
It looked as though Weaver was in good spirits during the combine, as he could be seen cheering on his fellow wide receivers during their drills.
During his media availability, Weaver was asked how it felt to be repping CU at the NFL combine (h/t Scotty Gange of 9News):
“I keep saying it’s a blessing, but that’s really all I can say,” Weaver told Gange. “A kid from Orlando, Florida, I’m not even supposed to be here coming out of the private school I came from.”
