North Carolina protected its home court and kept a hold of sole possession of first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference on Saturday, using a second-half rally to take down NC State.
After trailing by 8 at halftime, the Tar Heels turned up the intensity a little bit in the second half. Their defense forced some bad decisions by the Wolfpack and held them without a field goal for an 11-minute stretch.
Meanwhile, the offense took advantage as they went on a run to open the half and get the lead. UNC never looked back and took down the Wolfpack 79-70.
