Today’s performance was from the team Arkansas fans expected this season. Too bad it’s too little, too late.
The Razorbacks lost an exciting one against Kentucky, 111-102.
It’s the second time Arkansas hit the century mark this season, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Wildcats high octane offense. From the jump, the game was back and forth, with 17 lead changes and 12 ties.
Khalif Battle took a while to heat up, but he made up for it quickly. He finished with 34 points, marking his 3rd straight 30-plus point game. Tramon Mark was also hot, scoring 23.
As Arkansas vs. Kentucky games can sometimes get, both squads were chippy with each other. Six technical fouls were issued today. Two were assessed to Kentucky’s Rob Dillingham and Aaron Bradshaw. The other 4 were given to the Razorbacks. Trevon Brazile, Devo Davis, Makhi Mitchel, and Coach Eric Musselman were all T’d up.
After arguably the worst loss in Musselman’s tenure at Arkansas, the Razorbacks gave a heck of a performance. Now, the Hogs will move on to LSU as the Tigers make their way to Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday.
