The 2024 NFL scouting combine is in Indianapolis this week as prospects descend on the Circle City for the big event. With the NFL draft about two months away, it’s a chance for prospects to impress NFL teams.
And for North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye, he’s reportedly impressing in his interviews with teams so far.
Per Ian Rapoport, Maye is already impressing in his interviews with teams at the combine. Rapoport put out a tweet that had reports on Marvin Harrison Jr. and Caleb Williams but did mention Maye in it as well. Here is what he wrote in the tweet about the combine so far:

Maye met the media on Friday but has been meeting with teams already. He’s met with a long list of teams including the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons among others.
With Williams being the top quarterback in this draft per many analysts, it’s a battle for QB2 between Maye and Daniels. Right now, it’s hard to tell who has the upper hand as neither quarterback is planning on throwing at the combine this weekend.
It’s a long process but it’s good news that Maye is at least performing well with these interviews.
