It’s no secret that the Gators have a potential star on campus with [autotag]DJ Lagway[/autotag] enrolled for his freshman year at the University of Florida.
The modern game means more than just balancing school and sport, though. The elite players have to consider the financial side of things now that players can profit off their name, image and likeness. Like most of the top players in the country, Lagway is seeking representation to help him navigate the ever-changing NIL landscape.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Lagway will work directly with Network Advisory’s Justin J. Giangrande and Legacy Sports Advisors’ Deiric Jackson, the former of which worked with Tim Tebow. Jackson helped Anthony Richardson with NIL.
“I’m excited to have The Network Advisory and Legacy with me on this journey,” Lagway said. “It feels like I am becoming a part of a new family, a family that cares about my success both on and off the field. With Justin and Deiric’s guidance and support, I’m eager to bring Florida back to its rightful glory.”
Lagway had a historic senior year in 2023. He led Willis High to its first undefeated season, threw for more than 4,600 yards and 58 touchdowns, ran for nearly 1,000 more yards and 16 more touchdowns and was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year.
“We are thrilled to be working with DJ and his family,” said Giangrande, the CEO and founder of The Network Advisory. “Not only does his proven leadership abilities, talent and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our values, but the opportunity to work with another Florida Gators superstar at this point in my career, is extremely special to me. I look forward to helping DJ maximize his brand but also joining him on this journey to return Florida football to where it should be.”
