Florida basketball got back on the winning track inside the O’Connell Center on Saturday afternoon with a 77-64 triumph over the visiting Vanderbilt Commodores. The Gators are now 19-8 and 9-5 in Southeastern Conference play.
Despite the home win, the Orange and Blue fell a spot to No. 31 overall in the NET rankings. Todd Golden’s team now sits between the No. 30 TCU Horned Frogs and No. 32 Florida Atlantic Owls.
Here’s how the quadrant system breaks things up:
- Quadrant 1: Home 1-30, Neutral 1-50, Away 1-75
- Quadrant 2: Home 31-75, Neutral 51-100, Away 76-135
- Quadrant 3: Home 76-160, Neutral 101-200, Away 135-240
- Quadrant 4: Home 161-353, Neutral 201-353, Away 241-353
The Gators are 4-7 against Quadrant 1 opponents, 2-1 against Quadrant 2 opponents, 7-0 against Quadrant 3 opponents and 6-0 against Quadrant 4 opponents. They hold an 18-8 record overall and an 8-5 mark in Southeastern Conference play.
The one Quad 2 loss represents the misstep at the Ole Miss Rebels on Jan. 10, who fell outside of the Quad 1 zone from No. 68 to No. 76.
The Gators remain in the O’Connell Center for their next game against the visiting Missouri Tigers, who come to town on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
