Five star 2025 recruit Darryn Peterson to visit Kentucky

Five-star 2025 recruit Darryn Peterson will visit the Kentucky Wildcats on March 6th.

The 2024 Kentucky Wildcats basketball recruiting class is almost finalized, so the 2025 class becomes a bigger focus for fans. Coach John Calipari is known for his ability to bring in top players, and one of next year’s highest rated players, Darryn Peterson, is vising Lexington soon.

Peterson is currently a top five player in the 2025 class. The 6’5″ 195 lb shooting guard is from Huntington, West Virginia, and will make the trip down I-64 to Lexington on March 6th.

There are a number of top programs looking to bring Peterson onto their teams. He named his top eight in January, and Kansas, North Carolina and Michigan among others were there alongside Kentucky. The Jayhawks are the early favorites to land him, but Calipari and the Wildcats will have their chance to sway him.

If Kentucky can land the five-star guard, he would join Patrick Patterson as players from Huntington to play for Calipari. Peterson’s decision probably won’t come soon, but he would be a massive signing if he chooses the Wildcats.
