As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday on the second night of a back-to-back, they will look to get back on track. The Sixers have lost two games in a row and they are 6-15 on the season without Joel Embiid.
As Philadelphia heads into this matchup, they will once again be without Embiid as the big fella continues to recover from his meniscus procedure. He will be re-evaluated in early March.
Joining Embiid on the sidelines will be Robert Covington (left knee bone bruise) and Kyle Lowry (return to competition reconditioning). Lowry played in his first game on Thursday since Jan. 21 when he was with the Miami Heat. It makes sense that he will sit against the Cavaliers.
De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine stress response) is listed as probable as he looks to make his return after not playing since Jan. 12.
Nic Batum is listed as questionable with a left hamstring strain.
