Saturday’s men’s college basketball schedule is chock full of fantastic matchups, including a Big 12 duel between a pair of in-state rivals — the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners.
The Cowboys have not been much to write home about this season, currently sitting on a paltry 12-14 overall record with an even less impressive 4-9 mark in conference play. However, Oklahoma State has won its last two and sports a solid 10-5 mark on its home floor.
The Sooners fell out of the top 25 in both the USA TODAY Sports Coaches and Associated Press polls this week after losses at the Baylor Bears and home against the Kansas Jayhawks. Still, Oklahoma’s 18-8 overall tally looks pretty good – as long as one ignores the ugly 6-7 record against Big 12 foes.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys will host the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. CT.

On paper, this matchup might not jump out but never underestimate the potential that an in-state and intra-conference rivalry can have. Not to mention, Oklahoma won the previous meeting in Norman just two games ago, so there is some vengeance in the air as well.
