The Boston Celtics may not have done very much in terms of improving their regular season record, with All-Star Week being the primary focus of all but one day of last week’s schedule. But then again, neither did the rest of the league, so it ought not to surprise much to hear that the Celtics remain atop the power rankings of the Volume “Hoops Tonight with Jason Timpf” podcast this week.
The eponymous host has the Celtics No. 1 overall in his weekly assessment of the state of the NBA, with Boston holding a six-game lead (yes, really) over the East’s current No. 2 seed. That’s pretty hard logic to argue with given the Celtics also own the league’s best record more than two-thirds through their 2023-24 campaign.
