NASCAR postpones 2024 Daytona 500 to Monday, start time and TV details

NASCAR has postponed the 2024 Daytona 500 to Monday evening. Check out the start times and TV details behind the postponement.

NASCAR tried its best, but Mother Nature didn’t want to cooperate. Due to the poor weather forecast for Sunday, NASCAR has postponed the 2024 Daytona 500 to Monday evening. The new start time for the Daytona 500 will be 4:00 p.m. ET. Thankfully, live coverage of the Great American Race will stay on FOX despite the postponement.

It has been a wild weekend of weather as NASCAR also postponed the Xfinity Series race at Daytona to Monday. The Xfinity Series will start the doubleheader at Daytona at 11:00 AM ET on FOX Sports 1. The good thing for both levels is that qualifying could be run. Therefore, the 2024 Daytona 500 starting lineup is a genuine view of speedweeks.

The start of the 2024 NASCAR season has been choppy as the Cup Series has yet to start a race at its scheduled time. The Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum was moved up 24 hours due to bad weather in California two weeks ago. Now, the Daytona 500 has been moved back 24 hours, and hopefully, this is the last change for NASCAR’s big event.
