Rather than breaking down their roster this past summer, the Chicago Bulls kept everybody on board. They re-signed Nikola Vucevic, Coby White, and Ayo Dosunmu, choosing to compete for a playoff spot this season. Following an ugly start to the year, they’ve been doing just that, but they still seem to be firmly stuck in the middle.
Unfortunately, while White and Dosunmu have played well this year, Vucevic has regressed a bit. He’s still putting up decent raw counting stats, and he almost never misses games, but his efficiency has taken a huge dip this year compared to last season.
The 33-year-old is on a three-year contract, and his regression could be a problem for the Bulls moving forward. The Chicago Bulls Central YouTube channel recently discussed the issue.
So far this season, Vucevic is averaging 17.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 47.1% from the field and 27.5% from behind the three-point line.
