One of the top safeties in the 2025 recruiting class has narrowed his list of potential schools down to a list of his final eight. [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and the LSU Tigers have made the cut, but there is a heavy favorite.
LSU joins Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Miami, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Auburn as the final eight schools that are still on the board for 2025 four-star [autotag]Jarcoby Hopson Jr.[/autotag] Hopson is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound, four-star safety from Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, where he plays for Lake Cormorant High School. The Lake Cormorant Gators finished the 2023 season 6-4 with a loss to Olive Branch in their final game of the season.
Ole Miss currently has multiple Crystal Ball projections to land Hopson and the Rebels are an 84% favorite to land him per On3. With all of the recent discourse between Ole Miss and LSU, it would be crazy if LSU took one of the best recruits from Mississippi.
