Steelers officially awarded Jeremiah Moon in post-Super Bowl deferment

Jeremiah Moon is officially a Pittsburgh Steeler.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were officially awarded linebacker Jeremiah Moon off waivers in a post-Super Bowl deferment, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

Moon, 25, has been on and off the Ravens roster since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022.

The Florida product did not suit up in his rookie season but appeared in eight games (two versus the Steelers) with one start in 2023. In those matchups, Moon logged 12 tackles (one for loss) and two forced fumbles. He was waived before the postseason to make room for tight end Mark Andrews.

Pittsburgh put in their claim for Moon on Jan. 26 but had to wait until after the Super Bowl for the move to become official.

Moon will join T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig in the outside linebacker room. Markus Golden, signed by the Steelers last May, is a pending free agent.
