After this past week, the race for the ACC regular season title has become the tightest it’s been all season.

The red-hot Virginia Cavaliers have won eight straight games and now sit one game behind the North Carolina Tar Heels for first place in the standings.

The Duke Blue Devils also won both their games this week, defeating Notre Dame and Boston College, to loom just behind Virginia at 1.5 games back.

The Tar Heels couldn’t continue their momentum from their win over Duke and opened its week with a loss against the Clemson Tigers, and UNC needed to survive another potential upset against Miami to hold onto first place in the standings.
