For another year in a row, the Chicago Bulls decided to do nothing at the trade deadline. Rather than moving Alex Caruso or DeMar DeRozan or Andre Drummond or anyone on their roster, they decided to stand pat, accepting (and relishing in) the fact that they will be a bottom-tier playoff team this season.
But with their deadline inactivity behind them, the Bulls now have to focus on the rest of the season. And since Chicago held onto Drummond, they will likely continue to roll with the double-big lineup of Nikola Vucevic and Drummond – a lineup that head coach Billy Donovan has been throwing out there a decent amount.
The Chicago Bulls Central YouTube channel recently discussed whether or not the lineup would continue to breed success post-trade deadline.
Having Vucevic and Drummond on the floor at the same time doesn’t seem like a recipe for success, but it’s worked for the Bulls in spurts.
