It was a week ago when the North Carolina Tar Heels got a big win over rival Duke in the Dean Dome. While the Tar Heels have lost two of their last three games, it was still a big win for Hubert Davis’ team as February rolls on.
And they did so in front of two five-star recruiting targets.
Class of 2025 prospects Jasper Johnson and Caleb Wilson were both on official visits to North Carolina. They got to take in an awesome atmosphere and get a feel for the program. Now, after the visit, the details are coming out for at least one recruit.
Johnson dished on the visit to Adam Zagoria of Zag’s Blog and called the visit ‘great’ to North Carolina:
“It was a great visit,” Johnson told ZAGSBLOG. “The message they are telling me is they want me to come in and play major minutes and make an immediate impact from Day 1.”
That certainly sounds like good news.
The 6-foot-4, 170-pound guard Johnson is ranked No. 10 overall, the No. 2 combo guard and No. 1 player in the state of Missouri per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
Johnson is heading to Kentucky this weekend for a visit and then will visit Auburn after that.
