The Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum has been a success over the last three seasons; however, NASCAR recognizes the need to keep the event fresh moving forward. It was previously reported that NASCAR wants to take the Busch Light Clash out of the United States in 2025. So, what does this mean for the event’s future in Los Angeles, California?
According to The Athletic’s Jordan Bianchi, it is considered unlikely that NASCAR will return to the Coliseum for the 2025 season. While a decision hasn’t been made yet, this seems to be the direction as of right now. It would be smart, as NASCAR needs to keep the event fresh and create buzz around its opening race each year.
The Los Angeles market has been a great experiment and reach for race fans, but it’s important to replicate that in other places. If NASCAR could somehow figure out how to take the Cup Series into a different country, that would be the ideal outcome. Either way, it sounds like the Coliseum has hosted its final Busch Light Clash.
