Chase Elliott has rough unofficial start to 2024 NASCAR season at Busch Light Clash

Chase Elliott had a rough unofficial start to the 2024 season at the Busch Light Clash. Check out more about Elliott’s race at the Clash!

[autotag]Chase Elliott[/autotag] started in 14th place for the 2024 Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum, but his finishing position didn’t improve. Elliott finished second-to-last in 22nd place after breaking something in the car following a restart. The driver of the No. 9 car told his crew that something broke, and while they went under the hood, the car wouldn’t be fixed in time.

After a rough 2023 NASCAR season, this isn’t the start that Elliott envisioned. The good thing for the Hendrick Motorsports driver is that Daytona International Speedway will be here in two weeks as the Busch Light Clash is an unofficial event. Elliott may have a DNF to start the new campaign, but it won’t go toward his statistics in 2024.

Elliott was excited when NASCAR moved the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum to Saturday night due to weather. The forecast was not good for Sunday in Los Angeles, California, and allowed the sport to move it up by one day. It may not have been the Saturday night that Elliott desired, but it’s nothing to be concerned about with Daytona’s arrival soon.
