The Southeastern Conference schedule continues to roll along as the LSU Tigers women’s basketball team gets set to host the Florida Gators on Sunday.
The Tigers, who are the reigning national champions, are having yet another fine season, coming in ranked ninth in the AP Poll and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll with an 18-4 overall record. However, LSU has struggled a bit in conference play, putting up a less-than-stellar 5-3 mark against SEC competition.
The Gators have put together a winning campaign so far — but nothing to write home about — entering the matchup with an 11-8 overall record but a paltry 2-5 tally against conference schools. Including neutral court games, however, Florida is an even 5-5 away from Gainesville which is not too shabby.
The LSU Tigers will host the Florida Gators on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT.

LSU has a steep hill to climb in catching the top-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks — who lead both the nation and the SEC in the standings — and Florida is the kind of squad that championship teams beat. Conversely, the Gators have shown tenacity on the road this season and that could come into play on Sunday.
