Los Angeles Lakers’ hot shooting, Boston Celtics’ costly turnovers lead to tough loss at home

The Celtics shot just 33.3% from beyond the arc, and only got to the free throw line 7 times to Los Angeles’ 26.

The Boston Celtics found a way to lose a game to their longtime rival Los Angeles Lakers despite the Lakers being down two starters at tipoff and three by the final buzzer. The level of effort and focus from the Celtics was minimal from the start of the game, and soon saw Boston staring at a 16-point deficit.

The Celtics shot just 33.3% from beyond the arc, and only got to the free throw line 7 times to Los Angeles’ 26. Mix in 15 turnovers to the Lakers’ 7, 4 steals to Los Angeles’ 4, and a general lack of concern for nearly the entire game, and you have a recipe for one of the worst losses of the season.

NBC Sports Boston’s Brian Scalabrine, Eddie House and Amina Smith sat down to talk though the flop they saw from Boston on “Postgame Live”.
