Penn State men’s basketball has been going through quite the up-and-down season this year. With far more success at home than on the road, where the Nittany Lions continued to search for their first true road win of the season on Wednesday night at Rutgers, the ground work continues to be put together for a bit of a rebuild under new head coach Mike Rhoades. On Wednesday, Penn State added another piece to the program with a commitment from forward [autotag]Hudson Ward[/autotag], from Canada.
Ward hails from Edmonton, Alberta in Canada, so he will be logging some serious miles to play for the Nittany Lions as a new addition to the Class of 2024. The 6-7″ strong forward is rated as a three-star recruit by On3 but does not carry a recruiting ranking from any of the other recruiting networks at this time.
Ward committed to Penn State over offers from San Jose State, Florida Gulf Coast, Chattanooga, and New Mexico State. Penn State was the only power conference offer on the table for Ward. According to Waqrd’s social media feed, Penn State extended its offer to him on Dec. 21.
Ward made an official visit to Penn State last weekend.
