Mobil 1 is extending its partnership with Toyota Racing Development this season, which will see the brand cross eight motorsports series.

“Mobil 1 is proud to be synonymous with motorsports, and we are thrilled to take that to the next level with Toyota Racing Development,” said Rob Shearer, director of global sponsorships and marketing services on behalf of Mobil 1. “Toyota Racing Development shares the same passion for performance as we do and, together, we will work to continue to show how the right motor oil can improve on-track performance and provide longevity for consumers’ vehicles. We are proud to compete in many different series and cheer on our racers all season long.”

Through the expansion, Mobil 1 will be seen in series such as the NASCAR Cup Series, the NHRA Mission Food Drag Racing Series, IMSA’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, ARCA Menards Series and Late Models. All three Toyota organizations in the Cup Series (Joe Gibbs Racing, 23XI Racing and Legacy Motor Club) will have primary partnerships with Mobil 1.

Christopher Bell will have Mobil 1 backing for the Busch Light Clash at the L.A. Coliseum, Richmond Raceway (March 31), and Talladega Superspeedway (April 21). Toyota is also the entitlement sponsor at Richmond – the Toyota Owners 400.

Bell has a long-standing partnership with Mobil 1. The brand has supported his racing efforts in NASCAR and on dirt with his sprint car. However, this will be his first time driving a Mobil 1-branded car in the Cup Series.

23XI Racing drivers Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace will both drive Mobil 1-branded cars. Reddick will sport the colors at Phoenix Raceway (March 10) and the second event at Richmond Raceway (Aug. 11). Wallace, meanwhile, will represent the brand at Circuit of the Americas (March 24).

Legacy Motor Club driver John Hunter Nemechek will drive a Mobil 1 car in the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, the fall Atlanta Motor Speedway race (Sept. 8), and the season finale at Phoenix Raceway (Nov. 10). Nemechek has been one of Mobil 1’s most successful drivers as six of his 15 wins between the Craftsman Truck Series and Xfinity Series were with Mobil 1 as his primary sponsor.

“TRD’s technical partnership with Mobil 1 has been integral to Toyota’s on-track performance and success over the past 20+ years,” TRD president David Wilson said. “From winning the Indy 500 to championships in NASCAR, IMSA, NHRA and countless achievements in sports car, grassroots and dirt racing action, Mobil 1 has been the common denominator. As we begin another exciting racing season in 2024, we are honored to expand our partnership with Mobil 1.”

Toyota’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team, TRICON Garage, with driver Taylor Gray, will also carry the Mobil 1 colors. Chandler Smith, who will compete with Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series, will also have several races with Mobil 1 as his primary sponsor.

Other TRD drivers who will have Mobil 1 support will be Brent Crews, Isabella Robusto (ARCA and late models), Buddy Kofoid (World of Outlaws), and Jade Avedisian (dirt midget and Toyota GR Cup).

Doug Kalitta will again carry the Mobil 1 brand in NHRA as he defends his Top Fuel championship. Kalitta Motorsports, which fields two Top Fuel dragsters (Kalitta and Shawn Langdon) and a Funny Car (J.R. Todd), has received Mobil 1 support for its vehicles since 2020.

In sports car, Mobil 1 will again have a presence with the Lexus Racing GT3 program. That includes the No. 14 Vasser Sullivan team, which won the 2023 IMSA GRD PRO manufacturer, team and driver championship.

Mobil 1 was first named an official technology partner for TRD in 2010.

After entering NASCAR in 1987 as a sponsor for Rusty Wallace, Mobil 1 has been the official motor oil of NASCAR since 2003.
