Former Husker to play in Super Bowl

A former Cornhusker will be playing in the Super Bowl.

A former Cornhusker will be playing in the Super Bowl. Randy Gregory and the San Francisco 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gregory recorded two tackles in the Niners 34-31 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday evening. On the season, he has recorded 20 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Gregory played for Nebraska during the 2013 and 2014 season. In 24 games as a Husker, he recorded 120 total tackles, 29.0 tackles for loss, and 17.5 sacks.

He was a two-time All-Big Ten first-team member and a third-team All-American in 2014. The Jacksonville native would be selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys.

Super Bowl LVIII will take place on Sunday, February 11, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
