Steelers interviewing former Panthers OC Thomas Brown for opening

The Steelers hunt for a new offensive coordinator continues.

According to Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Gerry Dulac, the Steelers are planning to interview Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown for their vacancy at offensive coordinator.

Brown is a former NFL running back who played his college football at the University of Georgia. Brown spent three seasons in the league from 2008-2010. He immediately turned to coaching, spending most of his career as a running backs coach in college football.

Currently, Brown is the offensive coordinator for the Panthers in 2023. The Panthers had the worst offense in the NFL last season, ranking No. 32 in yards and No. 31 in points scored. Carolina went 2-15 in 2023.

The Steelers are also planning to interview Los Angeles Rams passing-game coordinator Zac Robinson and former NFL head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
